Did You Know:
- There are an estimated 50,000 people in various stages of addiction in our community?*
- The drug economy is responsible for 85% of serious criminal activity in Baltimore?*
- Intoxication-related deaths are skyrocketing across Maryland, up by more than 60% in the last five years?*
Please join leaders from Baltimore area corporations, academic institutions, non-profits and government agencies on Tuesday, July 24th from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. to learn about an effective program that assists individuals suffering from addiction disorders and helps them transform their lives into productive and responsible citizens. Enrich your knowledge of the opioid epidemic and how you can help those struggling with the ravages of addiction.
This event includes a breakfast reception in addition to compelling testimony by one of the graduates of the Helping Up Mission who conquered his battle against addiction. We will also have a personal tour of their facility guided by Jim Longenecker, LBC Class of 2008, and learn about the planned Women’s and Children’s Center.
This promises to be an outstanding experience to enrich your understanding of one of the greatest challenges facing citizens and communities of Baltimore County and beyond.
