Erica Anthony

Class of 2023

Erica Anthony is an Associate Professor of Management and Chair of the Department of Business Administration. Prior to joining Morgan State University, she worked in various roles at the telecommunications corporation, Sprint, and as a Systems Engineer for Honeywell. These experiences heightened her fondness for business and understanding the interactions facilitated within organizations. This adoration led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior Human Resources from Purdue University. In addition to her doctoral degree, she also holds a MBA from University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. Furthermore, she is a Certified Personal & Executive Coach earned through the International Coach Federation (ICF)-Accredited Coach Training Program, College of Executive Coaching. Dr. Anthony is also the CEO and Founder of Lyceum for Innovative Leadership LLC, an organization that focuses on the professional development of women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.

Brian Bailey

Class of 2023

Brian S. Bailey, an executive with 15+ years‘ career experience, directs occupational safety and health initiatives at Tradepoint Atlantic (TPA) and its affiliates: Tradepoint Rail, Maryland Materials Management, and Tradepoint Terminals. The 3,300-acre global logistics center stands on the former site of the renowned Bethlehem Steel Mill in Sparrows Point, offering unparalleled access to deep-water berths, rail, and highways.

Specializing in corporate safety management, Brian ensures regulatory compliance and effective environmental and health controls. As Tradepoint Atlantic propels the success of world-class companies, generates jobs, and promotes community prosperity, Brian—a distinguished EHS professional—leads cross-functional initiatives across all business operations. Recognizing his strengths, TPA designated him to helm the Empowerment Academy, where he guides the investment, training, and support services provided to minority-, women-, and veteran-owned small businesses.

Previously directing the safety and environmental stewardship portfolio at The American Waterways Operators, Brian has also served as an executive in association management across multiple industries. Recognized as a 2020 Rising Star of Safety by the National Safety Council, he is a 2023 graduate of Leadership Baltimore County and a proud UMBC alum. A native Marylander, Brian—who has an extensive leadership background in numerous community, civic, and philanthropic organizations across the metropolitan region—resides in Old Ellicott City.

Morlon Bell-Izzard
Exelon
Class of 2015

Morlon Bell-Izzard is responsible for leading customer strategy and engagement across Exelon’s six electric and natural gas companies – Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO and Pepco - serving more than 10 million customers across the Mid-Atlantic and northern Illinois.

Bell-Izzard has more than 25 years of industry and customer experience. As Pepco Holdings’ chief customer officer, Bell-Izzard was responsible for call center services, customer field operations, billing, revenue management, large customer services, energy efficiency programs, and solar . During her 22 years with BGE, she served in various leadership roles, including director of Customer Care, director of Business Transformation, manager of Customer Projects and Systems Support, director of Customer Relations Initiatives, and supervisor of Applications Development.

A career highlight for Bell-Izzard at BGE was overseeing the implementation of the company’s customer care and billing system, which replaced 20-plus year-old customer systems, and helped set the direction for how BGE manages the customer experience.

Bell-Izzard serves on the board of directors and several committees of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Washington DC and Eastern Pennsylvania. She was the chairperson of Leadership Baltimore County’s Board of Directors. .

Bell-Izzard earned a B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia , obtained an executive certification in transformational leadership from The Darden School of Business, and is a certified public accountant.

Eric Brotman
BFG Financial Advisors
Class of 2006

Eric D. Brotman, CFP®, AEP®, CPWA®, is Chief Executive Officer of BFG Financial Advisors. He began his financial planning practice in Baltimore in 1994, and founded Brotman Financial Group in 2003, which later became BFG Financial Advisors. He and his team focus on supporting families and individuals by providing comprehensive financial planning services.

Eric is presently serving on the Board of Trustees for Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a champion for financial literacy education and serves on the Advisory Board for Females & Finance. He previously served two four-year terms on the Board of Trustees for the Maryland State Retirement & Pension System as an appointee of former Governor Larry Hogan, and on the Business Advisory Council for former Comptroller, Peter Franchot. Eric served on the Board of Trustees and as Chairman of the University Advancement Committee at Stevenson University. He is a former board member of Leadership Baltimore County, a 2009 alumnus and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Leadership Maryland, the Past-President and Chairman of the Board of the Financial Planning Association of Maryland, and a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.

In addition to BFG Financial Advisors, Eric founded Brotman Consulting Group, LLC, which works with other financial advising firms to amplify their practices and create influence, and Brotman Media Group, LLC, which focuses on creating and distributing educational resources to help spread financial literacy throughout the community.

Vickie Cosby

Class of 2016

Vickie Cosby is the Vice President of Consumer Direct Sales and Communications for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, the largest health care insurer in the Mid-Atlantic region. She began her career with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in 1994. Vickie has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, including skills in medical underwriting, sales training, marketing of commercial and government programs and consumer direct sales.

Vickie is a Baltimore County resident, an avid history buff and a graduate of Towson University. Her desire to support individuals with different learning styles has driven her to become a voice for individuals with special needs.

Vickie is a Lifetime Member of LBC and a graduate of the Class of 2016.

David Kelly
KELLY 
Class of 1999

David Kelly is Chief Operating Officer of KELLY, President of KELLY Payroll and Executive Vice President of KELLY Benefit Strategies.

As a widely respected benefit professional, David has provided guidance to both privately and publicly held companies, including Fortune 500 companies. He has a proven track record of developing innovative benefit solutions, as well as identifying opportunities for cost reduction within benefit programs.

He is active within the community and has served or serves on many nonprofit boards, including River Valley Ranchm SENT Network, Penn-Mar Foundation, Stevenson University and Cambridge School. He is a previous member of the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center Board of Directors, as well as the Shock Trauma Board of Visitors. He is also the past president of the Board of the Dyslexia Tutoring Program and helped establish the Troy Vance Foundation.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of North Carolina, where he played on the 1986 NCAA National Championship lacrosse team. He and his wife, Melissa, have six children. David spends much of his leisure time coaching his children in soccer, basketball and lacrosse.

Katie McInnes

Class of 2022

Katie McInnes is the Vice President of Marketing at Gray & Son, a site-contracting company serving the mid-Atlantic region for over a century. After graduating in 2002 with a BA in Communications from New England College of New Hampshire, McInnes returned home and joined her family business Gray & Son. Starting her career in Accounting, responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Katie then spent a brief period in Estimating learning about take-off before transitioning into the world of Human Resources. In 2011, McInnes transitioned to Marketing and Communications.

A Butler, MD native, Katie is committed to the Baltimore County community and is actively involved in several non-profits such as Turnaround Inc and Cool Kids Campaign.

Michelle Schiffer
Greenberg Gibbons
Class of 2018

Michelle Schiffer is Vice President of Asset Management at Greenberg Gibbons, where she is responsible for managing the company’s assets including inline leasing, construction management, redevelopment, and tenant coordination, as well as financial proformas and marketing. Before joining Greenberg Gibbons in 2007, Michelle worked for the Rouse Company for 20 years where she held positions in property management, leasing and marketing of retail, office and mixed-use properties.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM).
